Earth, Sea and Sky                                                                                                                                                                                                          This series is topographical in approach, and explores the seepage between sky, water, and land.  Each vertical totem incorporates three interpretations of the same vision.  The top is oil on canvas.  The middle is silverpoint drawing on paper.  The lower piece is tinted silverpoint drawing ground on marble - it is created by incising marks into the painted areas through a reductive drawing process that reveals qualities of light from the stone surface below.
